Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), Indian police carried out a series of raids in several areas of Srinagar on Tuesday, seizing important documents, laptops, mobile phones, and other digital devices.

The raids were conducted on the orders of the New Delhi-appointed Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha. Police raided multiple houses in Umar Colony Lal Bazar, Palpora Noor Bagh, Suthsoo Kalan, Kathi Darwaza, Nowpora Sakka Daffer, Soura Teng, New Ted, Mughal Mahal, and other localities.

The residences of several individuals, including Israr Ahmad, Shahbaz Ahmad Butt, Fayaz Ahmad Ganaie, Burhan Nazir, Sajid Majeed Shah, Ashiq Bashir Najjar, Umar Adil Dar, Shabir Ahmad Ganaie, Ijaz Ahmad Butt, Muhammad Altaf Ganaie, and Ahsan Ahmad Butt, were searched under the draconian Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).

Observers said the raids are part of India's ongoing campaign to intimidate Kashmiris and suppress their legitimate struggle for freedom and right to self-determination.
