Intercity, interprovincial public transport fares reduced by 5 percent

Lahore: Public transport fares have been curtailed with fall in the price of diesel.

As per media reports, intercity and interprovincial fares have been reduced by 5 percent.

According to new fare list, fares of transport from Lahore to other cities have also been slashed.

Fare from Lahore to Karachi has been reduced from Rs 5390 to Rs 5120, Lahore to Hyderabad from Rs 5020 to Rs 4770, Lahore to Morro from Rs 4550 to Rs 4320, Lahore to Sukkar from Rs 3630 to Rs 3450.

Fare from Lahore to Sadiq Abad has been decreased from Rs 2370 to Rs 2250, Lahore to Rahim Yar Khan from Rs 2370 to Rs 2250, Lahore to Khan Pur from Rs 2370 to Rs 2250, Lahore to Ahmad Pur Sharqia from Rs 2160 to Rs 2050, Lahore to Lodhran from Rs 1970 to Rs 1870.

According to new fare list, fare from Lahore to Bahawalpur has been curtailed from Rs 1970 to Rs 1870, from Lahore to Multan from Rs 1970 to Rs 1870, Lahore to Muzaffargarh from Rs 2160 to Rs 2050, Lahore to Layyia from Rs 2350 to Rs 2230 and Lahore to DI Khan from Rs 3285 to Rs 3120.

Like wise fare from Lahore to Bannu has been slashed from Rs 2510 to Rs 2380 from Lahore to Bhakkar from Rs 2720 to Rs 2580 and from Lahore to Kot Addu fare has been reduced from Rs 2340 to Rs 2220.

Transporters have been directed to implement new fares forthwith. Stern action will be taken against those who are found involved in overcharging.
