Lahore: Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Lahore has extended till May 7 interim bail of Shah Mehmood Qureshi, sisters of PTI founder Aleema Khan, Uzma Khan and others . Aleema Khan has given call for protest.
Duty judge of ATC Lahore took up the interim bail pleas in connection with May 9 cases for hearing Friday. During the hearing Aleema Khan, Uzma Khan, Musarrat Jamshed and Jamshed appeared in the court and marked attendance. Azam Swati and Asad Umar filed exemption from attendance plea.
The petition said Azam Swati due to illness and Asad Umar due to non availability of flight cannot appear in the court. The court accepted exemption from attendance pleas in respect of both of them.
The court while extending interim bail of all the accused till May 7 summoned record from prosecution and arguments from the lawyers on next hearing, Cases related to May 9 siege and arson are registered against the accused persons.
Talking to media men after court's proceedings Aleema Khan said price of petroleum products has been raised because we people are bearing it continuously. Our responsibility is our brother and we are endeavoring fully for his release. They will kill us or put to jail maximum . We are ready for martyrdom.
They intend not to release Imran Khan from jail for several years. Now only one way has been left that we have to put resistance. There are 50 to 60 thousands notified office bearers of PTI. There are 15 to 20 thousand people are from Rawalpindi division.
It is our appeal 10000 office bearers from nearby districts should reach outside Adiala jail on Tuesday. PTI founder will not be released unless we mount pressure.
