Islamabad: Interior minister Mohsin Naqvi has directed to remove from National Data Base (NDB) those who have obtained Pakistani citizenship illegally.
Mohsin Naqvi visited NADRA headquarters. Chairman NADRA gave him briefing on the performance of the institution and ongoing and next projects.
Interior minister appreciated performance of NADRA and its effective public services.
During it he directed to remove from NDB those who have sought Pakistani citizenship illegally.
Mohsin Naqvi said remarkable improvement has been witnessed in NADRA services during the last two years. The state of the art offices of NADRA be built by purchasing their own land and not in rented buildings.
Interior minister sought master plan in this regard.
The interior minister assured of contacts and cooperation on ministerial level with the respective institutions.
Chairman NADRA told in the briefing NADRA has taken several measures for improvement in extending facilities and services to the citizens.
The cooperation of other institutions is required to implement system related to verification of face from picture in connection with biometric system.
It was further told in the briefing NADRA has cancelled national identity cards of million of people who have passed away.
The mobile sims issued in the name of deceased are being blocked with the cooperation of PTA.
