Islamabad: Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, has extended his heartfelt congratulations and appreciation to the Government of Pakistan for successfully hosting the Regional Transport Ministers (RTM) Conference 2025, a landmark multilateral event aimed at boosting connectivity and sustainable transport cooperation across the region.
In his official message shared on X (formerly Twitter), Ambassador Amiri Moghadam expressed that Iran was 'highly honored' to participate in the prestigious gathering at the highest level, reaffirming Tehran's commitment to strengthening regional partnerships in transport and logistics.
Highlighting the strategic importance of regional geography, the envoy noted that the rich natural and human resources of participating nations, coupled with their deep-rooted cultural linkages, create a unique geopolitical and geoeconomic hub.
'This dynamic will contribute to enhanced regional and transregional connectivity, sustainable transport cooperation, and ultimately to the broader sustainable development of the entire region, leading to the prosperity and welfare of our societies,' the Iranian ambassador emphasized.
Ambassador Amiri Moghadam further underlined the significance of the South-North and East-West Corridors, which serve as a constructive framework for collaboration among regional states. He mentioned that these corridors provide a platform for cooperative engagement between the friendly and brotherly countries of Iran, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Trkiye, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Turkmenistan, and Sri Lanka, among others.
The Iranian envoy's remarks come as regional nations work to enhance connectivity under emerging economic corridors, aligning with global efforts to promote sustainable infrastructure, efficient logistics, and integrated transport networks across Asia and beyond.
