Peshawar: The Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT-2025) for admission to public and private sector medical and dental colleges across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was successfully conducted under the supervision of the provincial government and Khyber Medical University (KMU), Peshawar.

The test, held in accordance with Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) guidelines, took place simultaneously in eight districts - Peshawar, Mardan, Swat, Dir Lower, Kohat, Dera Ismail Khan, Malakand, and Abbottabad - across 43 examination centers. A total of 39,986 candidates, including 20,266 males and 19,720 females, appeared for the exam.

The process was conducted in collaboration with district administrations, police, FIA, IB, Special Branch, and other relevant institutions to ensure transparency and security. The arrangements were widely appreciated by candidates, parents, and the public.

Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shahab Ali Shah, Secretary Health Shahid Ullah, and KMU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zia Ul Haq visited examination centers in Peshawar and commended the efforts of administrative and examination staff, particularly ACS Home and Tribal Affairs Abid Majeed, for ensuring a smooth conduct of the test.

Prof. Dr. Zia Ul Haq announced that KMU plans to computerize the MDCAT from next year. The official answer key will be uploaded on the KMU website (https://cas.kmu.edu.pk) on the evening of the test, followed by results and a three-day rechecking window for transparency.
