Islamabad: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir in Islamabad.
Matters related to regional situation and bilateral cooperation were discussed in details during the meeting.
As per diplomatic sources during his first formal meeting of Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Islamabad the two sides exchanged views on regional security and bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Iran.
Diplomatic sources further said interior minister Mohsin Naqvi and National Security Advisor Lt Gen Asim Malik also attended the meeting .

Araghchi declared this working session during his presence in Islamabad an important milestone saying the talks held during this visit will open new avenues of cooperation between the two countries.
Iranian delegation comprised Deputy Foreign Minister Garibabadi, Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghaddam, and Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei.
The sources said Pakistan and Iran stressed on promotion of peace and stability in the region during the meeting and they agreed on further consolidating Pak-Iran relations and security cooperation.
