Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired a committee meeting on Friday to take stock of the performance of Pakistan's Missions abroad.

Ishaq Dar appreciated the efforts of Pakistan Missions in advancing the country's diplomatic, consular, and economic priorities. He noted the need to further enhance coordination between Headquarters and Missions, along with a stronger focus on results-oriented diplomacy, to ensure more effective delivery and the best use of available resources. He further directed that these efforts be sustained and strengthened to fully align with national foreign policy objectives and maximize impact.

The meeting was attended by Minister of State Bilal Azhar Kiyani, SAPM Tariq Bajwa, Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch, and senior officials of the Ministries of Finance, Commerce, Cabinet and Foreign Affairs.

Meanwhile Ishaq Dar chaired a Steering Committee meeting of the SDGs Achievement Programme (SAP).

The Committee reviewed the SDGs Achievement Programme and expressed satisfaction with its progress. It further directed that any savings from previous years may be utilized within the same sector and province.

Ishaq Dar reiterated the importance of involving local communities in identifying infrastructure development schemes so that SAP funds are utilized in the best interest of the people of Pakistan.

The meeting was attended by the Minister for IPC, the Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Ms. Shazia Marri MNA, Tariq Bajwa SAPM, the Secretary Cabinet, and senior officials from relevant ministries.
