Ishaq Dar arrives in Brussels to participate in the 7th Session of Pakistan-EU Strategic Dialogue

Brussels: Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar arrived in Brussels on Wednesday on an official visit to participate in the 7th Session of Pakistan-EU Strategic Dialogue and the 4th EU-Indo Pacific Ministerial Forum to be held from 20-21 November 2025 in Brussels.

Upon arrival, the DPM/FM was received by the Foreign Secretary, Amna Baloch, Ambassador of Pakistan to Belgium, Luxembourg and the EU, Rahim Hayat Qureshi and officers from the Pakistan Embassy.

During his visit, besides leading the Pakistan delegation in the Pakistan-EU Strategic Dialogue and Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum, Ishaq Dar will also engage in meetings with his counterparts from different countries and senior EU officials.

Meanwhile Ishaq Dar in a statement issued on X wrote 'I had a successful visit to Russia to attend the 24th SCO Council of Heads of Government meetings in Moscow (17-18 Nov). On the sidelines, I called on Russian President Vladimir Putin along with other Heads of Government Delegations, held productive bilateral meetings with Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk and Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, and met with heads of delegations from other SCO member states'.

Ishaq Dar wrote heartfelt thanks to the host government for the warm welcome, great hospitality and successful organisation of the 24th SCO-CHG meetings. Ishaq Dar wrote 'Following the conclusion of my Russia visit, I have just arrived in Brussels for a three-day visit (19-21 Nov) to participate in the Pakistan-EU Strategic Dialogue and the Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum (IMPF) meetings. I also look forward to engaging with the President of the European Council, EU High Representative/Vice-President, EU Commissioners, Members of the European Parliament, and other leaders attending the IMPF'.
