Ishaq Dar discusses regional situation with FMs of Canada and Egypt and UK’s Foreign Secretary


Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar spoke with Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand.

They discussed the latest developments in the region and ongoing efforts to promote peace and stability. DPM/FM reiterated Pakistan’s continued commitment to dialogue and diplomacy.

The two leaders also reviewed bilateral relations, including cooperation in trade, agriculture, and other sectors; and emphasized importance of high-level exchanges to further strengthen Pakistan-Canada ties.

Meanwhile, Ishaq Dar spoke with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty to exchange views on latest developments in the regional situation.

The Egyptian FM appreciated DPM/FM’s efforts and Pakistan’s continued role in advancing dialogue and diplomatic engagement. He also apprised DPM/FM of his outreach with various regional and international counterparts in this regard.

Both sides highlighted the importance of maintaining sustained engagement to support peace and stability in the region and bey
ond.

Furthermore, Ishaq Dar spoke with UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper. They discussed latest developments in the regional situation.

The UK Foreign Secretary appreciated Pakistan’s facilitation and continued efforts to promote dialogue and diplomacy. Both sides underscored the importance of sustained engagement for peace and stability in the region and beyond. They agreed to remain in contact.
