Brussels: Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar has underscored Pakistan's desire and efforts for a peaceful and stable South Asia.He was talking to Secretary General of NATO Mark Rutte at the NATO Headquarters in Brussels on Thursday.During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the status of bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on issues of common interest including peace and security, terrorism, climate change and regional and global developments.They agreed to continue working closely together to address common challenges and further strengthen their partnership for the promotion of peace and security in the region and beyond.Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan's unwavering commitment to combating terrorism. He said threat of terrorism that Pakistan continues to encounter is primarily supported and perpetrated from beyond its borders.He added that Pakistan is actively implementing measures to counter these threats.Mark Rutte appreciated Pakistan's contributions to regi onal peace and stability, and recognized Pakistan's counter terrorism efforts.
