Israeli aggression in Palestine a wake-up call for Muslim world: Liaqat Baloch

Multan: Jamaat-e-Islami Vice Emir Liaqat Baloch has said that the ongoing Israeli aggression in Palestine under U.S. patronage is a grave concern for the entire Muslim Ummah.

Speaking at a dinner hosted in honor of journalists in Multan, Liaqat Baloch stated that the martyrdom of over 60,000 people in Gaza is awakening and uniting the Muslim world. He warned that the U.S. is pressuring countries globally to recognize Israel, but a united Islamic world could dismantle both Western capitalism and sectarian divisions.

Highlighting the ideological legacy of Maulana Maududi, Liaqat Baloch said Pakistan's stability and prosperity lie in adhering to Islamic principles. He emphasized that past global events, including the Cold War, 9/11, and regional conflicts, have shown that ideology remains central to unity and resistance. He cited examples of Iran and Afghanistan to underscore the power of strong ideological foundations.

Condemning the recent killings of passengers in Balochistan, he termed them acts of brutality. He expressed concern over the worsening law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and stressed that natural resources belong to the provinces. He demanded an urgent meeting of the Council of Common Interests (CCI) to protect provincial rights.

Liaqat Baloch criticized the continued deception of the masses for the past 78 years, warning that the hybrid system and military interference in politics are unsustainable. He said the economic crisis, rising inflation, and increasing poverty reflect policy failure. He condemned salary hikes for top officials and urged an end to corruption and elite privileges.
