Lahore: Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Emir Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has expressed profound sorrow over the loss of lives and property caused by devastating floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Extending heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and to all affected communities, he said the party shares their grief and stands with them in this testing time.

In a statement on social media platform X, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman announced that JI and Alkhidmat Foundation volunteers have been directed to immediately initiate emergency relief and rescue operations.

He noted that alarming reports of casualties are emerging from the northern regions of KP, particularly Malakand Division, where cloudbursts and torrential rains have triggered flash floods, sweeping away entire villages. 'Hundreds of lives may have been lost. In this hour of trial and grief, we are with our brothers,' he affirmed.

The JI Emir further stated that Alkhidmat Foundation has already launched relief activities in the affected areas, and urged the JI workers to serve voluntarily in the ongoing rescue and assistance efforts.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman also contacted JI KP North Emir Inayatullah Khan, to get a detailed assessment of the situation and the damages so far, assuring him of full cooperation and support in relief operations.
