Judges, military establishment , bureaucracy should show their assets: Members NA standing committee on parliamentary affairs

Islamabad: Members of National Assembly (NA) standing committee on parliamentary affairs have proposed to show details of assets of judges, Generals and Bureaucracy,

Member of committee from PTI Ali Muhammad Khan said judiciary , bureaucracy and military establishment too should show their assets like parliamentarians.

Committee met here Friday under its chairman Rana Iradat Sharif Khan.

Member Committee Syed Navid Qamar said government has brought such bill this year that civil service will too file the details of their assets. Civil service has expressed apprehensions. They said there is threat for them if the details of their assets are made public.

So much relief was given to them in the bill that if they state specific reasons to head of their department then their information will be kept secret. It is our demand Election Commission rule should be applied to all.

Opposing the bill on non making public the assets of representatives of people Qamar Ul Islam Raja and Shazia Farid from PML-N and Ali Muhammad Khan PTI said people should know our representatives are strengthening the country.

We want to bring bureaucracy to the side of showing the details of their assets.

Member committee Ali Muhammad Khan said civil bureaucracy, military and judges of judiciary should also show their assets.
