Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has reserved judgment on the maintainability of petition seeking court orders for preventing the sessions judge from performing judicial work who had announced decision in 190 million pounds case.

In the light of Supreme Court (SC) observation - 2004 judgment was reserved on the petition filed against Sessions Judge Nasir Javed Rana.

Chief Justice (CJ) IHC Sarfraz Dogar took up for hearing petition filed by the petitioner Osama Riaz Tuesday.

Riaz Hanif Rahi counsel for the petitioner appeared in the court.

The CJ IHC remarked we have heard your arguments and we will issue order on it.

The CJ IHC remarked this order was issued 22 years before. Where you were before. You recalled it 22 years later that Supreme Court (SC) order was not implemented. Bringing this matter to court after so many years shows your malafide intent.

The CJ IHC observed " I cannot allow you to file or not file petition at your sweet will. There was order which was issued 22 years before and how you came here for its implementation after 22 years.

The counsel for the petitioner argued the matter of time barred is separate thing. The matter was highlighted on media in October 2025. Judge is performing the duty according to notification which we have challenged. One thing which is illegal was highlighted. English news paper published it and its record is available.

Counsel Hanif Rahi said whatever it is , is SC observation

If we take SC order this way and will not implement it then what is left more.

The counsel further said there are clear orders of SC about Nasir Javed Rana Sessions Judge.

What observation was given by SC is part of judicial record. All the respective record is attached with it. The attested copies are also attached.

CJ IHC remarked we have heard you and we will issue order on it.

The court reserved judgment on maintainability of petition.
