ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif says he just had a telephonic call with Kenyan President William Ruto about the tragic death of Arshad Sharif in kwnya .

In a statement issued on twitter on Monday, PM Shehbaz Sharif said that he requested him to ensure fair and transparent investigation into shocking incident. He promised all-out help including fast-tracking the process of return of the body to Pakistan.

Meanwhile Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed Ministries of Interior and the Foreign Affairs to take immediate measures for the repatriation of the body of Senior Journalist Arshad Sharif.

In a statement, he instructed the secretaries of both the ministries to expedite the repatriation process. He also directed them to remain in contact with the Kenyan authorities.

The Prime Minister asked the two secretaries to personally supervise all the stages of the repatriation of the body of deceased journalist.
