Islamabad: Bail after arrest plea of British-born Pakistani accused Aaqib Khan in the case of killing traffic police officer in I-8 Markaz and fomenting fear and harassment has been rejected.

Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain took up bail plea of the accused for hearing Monday.

The counsel for accused Aqib said his client is UK citizen and he did not know Pakistani laws. This case cannot be made under terrorism. The police registered case based on falsehood.

Prosecutor Raja Navid said the foreigners should abide by Pakistan laws more. The arms were recovered from the accused. It proves he was to kill the traffic police man. The accused fomented harassment in the commercial area. Video evidence in this regard are available.

There are several court's precedents that causing harassment at public places is terrorism.

The court while hearing the arguments dismissed the bail plea of the accused Aqib Khan.

It is pertinent to mention here case is registered against the accused in police station I-9 under terrorism and other clauses.
