KP CM contempt of court plea: IHC summons supdt Adiala jail in person

Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has summoned superintendent Adiala Jail in person on contempt of court petition by Chief Minister (CM) KP for not allowing him to meet with PTI founder in jail on January 24.

The hearing of the case was adjourned till February 12.

The petition filed by Chief Minister (CM) KP Ali Amin Gandpaur came up for hearing in the court on Friday.

The contempt of court petition for not allowing him to have meeting with PTI founder in jail despite court's orders came up for hearing in IHC.

Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir of IHC took up the petition for hearing.

The court was told that permission for meeting with PTI founder in jail is not being given despite court's orders. Therefore, reply be sought from jail administration.

The court summoned superintendent Adiala Jail on February 12 in person.

The court adjourned the hearing till February 12.
