Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has removed registrar office objections on KP Chief Minister (CM) Sohail Afridi petition in connection with meeting with PTI founder Imran Khan in Adiala jail.
Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir heard the petition with registrar office objections.
Ali Bokhari advocate appeared on behalf of Sohail Afridi in trhe court Monday.
The court issued notice to interior secretary, home secretary Punjab, IG Police and Superintendent Adiala jail for October 23.
Ali Bokhari counsel for CM KP said registrar office has raised several objections over CM KP petition regarding meeting with Imran Khan in jail. One objection is that a court's decision has already come in this regard.
The counsel said there is another objection too that how can Sohail Afridi file petition without the decision of KP government and provincial cabinet. This objection cannot be made as cabinet has not been formed so far.
The court while removing objections of registrar office issued notice to the respondents.
It is pertinent to mention here that registrar office had raised several objections over CM KP petition in connection with meeting with Imran Khan in Adiala jail.
