Islamabad: CM KP Sohail Afridi through a letter has requested Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) to issue directives to superintendent Adiala jail for arranging his meeting with PTI founder Imran Khan.
CM KP sent applications to interior minister and home department Punjab. However meeting could not be held with PTI founder despite efforts.
CM KP Sohail Afridi has said in his letter that he is elected CM of province and representative of four and half crore people. It is his moral and constitutional obligation to obtain directives from pattern in chief of his party.
He made it clear this meeting is imperative for provincial governance and formation of provincial cabinet.
It is pertinent to mention here CM KP had tried to meet Imran Khan in Adiala jail a day before but jail authorities had refused to arrange meeting.
Following this move, KP CM has pursued legal way by resorting to IHC.
