Peshawar: Decision has been taken to increase pay and pension of KP government employees by 7.7 percent in the budget for financial year 2027-27.
According to finance department KP, the increase has been made after adjusting the allowances from 2022 to 2025 in the BPS.
As per media report KP finance department has rejected the plea for further enhancing disparity allowance by 15 percent.
15 percent disparity allowance was announced last year for government employees.
The finance department has said disparity allowance is not being given to government employees of any other province.
According to finance department, monthly salary bill of the province will surpass Rs 82 billion following increase in pay.
