Islamabad: Minister of State for Interior Senator Muhammad Talal Chaudhry has said the Federal Government had provided the state of the art bullet-proof vehicles to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police.Talking to the media in Islamabad, Talal Chaudhry regretted that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government declined to accept the vehicles on political grounds.The Minister of State said almost all the federal ministers and the highest ranking officers of the security forces use these cars. He said these vehicles cost around 100 million rupees each and comply with international standards for bulletproof automobiles.Talal Chaudhry expressed government's resolve to eliminate terrorism from the country with the support of the people of Pakistan.Talking about the negative and extremist politics of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan, the Minister of State said TLP organized a march under the pretense of expressing solidarity with Palestine, yet failed to make a single demand in support of the Palestinian people.Pointing out con tradiction in the TLP's stance, he said its leadership has strongly advocated for boycotting foreign products, while the authorities have discovered 69 branded watches in their possession. He further disclosed that approximately one hundred bank accounts linked to TLP leaders have been identified, revealing transactions worth millions of rupees. He added that the group's leadership was also collecting millions in interest from these accounts.The Minister of State said the TLP leadership has gone underground, while innocent children and ordinary citizens, including a police officer, were martyred as a result of their violent actions.He emphasized that Pakistan can no longer afford the recklessness displayed by the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, nor the extremist politics pursued by groups like TLP.
