Lahore: DIG Operations Faisal Kamran stated that Lahore Police is working tirelessly to maintain peace and security. Intensive operations are was conducted to curb criminal activities. Providing details, DIG Operations revealed that Green Town Police foiled a planned crime attempt and arrested a two-member motorcycle theft gang near Bagrian. The arrested suspects include gang leader Danish Masih and his accomplice Muhammad Hanif. Two stolen motorcycles and illegal weapons were recovered from them. The suspects were wanted by the police for multiple street crimes. Similarly, Shahdara Police arrested four suspects involved in displaying weapons and aerial firing. The police swiftly responded to a 15 emergency call and took suspects Anees and Asadullah into custody, who were firing in public despite the ban. Additionally, Female Police Officer Farah from Shahdara Police Station arrested two more suspects, Ali Sher and Aleem, along with weapons. The police recovered a rifle, three pistols, and dozens of bullets from their possession. In another operation, Sanda Police arrested a kite manufacturer involved in illegal kite selling. The suspect, KashifAkram, was caught with hundreds of kites, deadly strings, bamboo sticks, and kite paper bundles. The suspect was supplying kites online to various areas of Lahore. Similarly, KotLakhpat Police arrested two suspects, Naeem and Junaid, for selling kites online. The police recovered over 300 kites and spools of chemical-coated string. These suspects were arrested from Bhatti Colony and were manufacturing kites at home for nighttime distribution across different areas. Meanwhile, Hair Police arrested a drug dealer, Farhan, while he was delivering narcotics. During a secret operation, the police caught him red-handed and seized over 4 kg of hashish. Ghalib Market Police arrested a fake government officer who falsely claimed to be an employee of a sensitive agency. The suspect, Javed, made a bogus kidnapping call to mislead the police. Another fraudster, Saleem, pretending to b e a government official, arrived to have Javed released. When asked for his employment details and service card, Saleem initially tried to intimidate the police, but verification revealed that he was not a government employee. In a separate incident, Bhati Gate Police quickly responded to a 15 emergency call and helped a distressed father find his lost six-year-old daughter, Marha. The girl had left home in the afternoon and went missing. The father sought police assistance through the emergency helpline. The police used Safe City cameras, modern technology, and human resources to locate the girl and reunite her with her parents within a few hours.
