Lahore: DIG Operations Faisal Kamran has stated that Lahore Police is fully prepared to ensure the security of the Tri-Nation One-Day Cricket Series, Champions Trophy, and other major events. Adequate security will be provided to both players and cricket fans during the Tri-Series. A foolproof four-tiered security plan has been formulated, and security SOPs will be strictly implemented. He expressed these views while inspecting security arrangements during the post-renovation inauguration ceremony of Gaddafi Stadium. Faisal Kamran revealed that for the Tri-Nation One-Day Cricket Series, Lahore Police Operations Wing has deployed:6 SPs19 DSPs45 Inspectors/SHOs252 Upper Subordinates3,609 officers and personnelAdditionally, 229 female personnel have been assigned to security and screening duties. Faisal Kamran further stated that under the supervision of SSP Operations TasawwurIqbal, SP Security Abdul Wahab is overseeing all security arrangements. The Punjab Safe Cities Authority is continuousl y monitoring the situation through surveillance cameras. Senior officers, including SPs, are actively present in the field. Elite Force, Dolphin Force, and Police Response Units are conducting patrols to ensure security. He emphasized that the security plan for the Tri-Series, Horse and Cattle Show, and Champions Trophy has been fully prepared. Along with these events, security duties for the polio campaign and other essential assignments are also was carried out effectively. DIG Operations urged citizens to cooperate with the police in implementing the security plan. He advised the public to follow the designated traffic routes for smooth movement. Lahore Police is utilizing its full capacity to ensure the safety of citizens, and crime control operations will continue without interruption.
