Lahore Police rescue kidnapped boy, arrest robbery gangs and drug dealer

Lahore: As per an official handout from DIG Operations Lahore, Lahore Police continues its crackdown against criminals to ensure public safety and maintain law and order.According to details, Factory Area Police, in an intelligence-based operation, rescued 11-year-old Ali Akbar from Ravi Road in a kidnapping case. The kidnappers had demanded a ransom of 700,000 rupees for his release. Police, using modern technology, arrested the suspect, Shahid, from Ravi Road. The accused had also threatened the child's father with dire consequences if the ransom was not paid or if he informed authorities. Gulberg Police, responding swiftly to a 15 emergency call, arrested a two-member robbery gang from KalmaChowk. The arrested suspects, Hayat and Ali Hassan, were found in possession of two stolen motorcycles, weapons, and over 100,000 rupees in cash.Similarly, HallokiCheckpost Police foiled a robbery plan and arrested two dacoits, Adnan and Yusuf. They were caught near Halloki Interchange following a tip-off.The police r ecovered a stolen motorcycle and weapons from them. The suspects confessed to multiple armed robberies around Ring Road and its surrounding areas.Race Course Police arrested a two-member gang involved in armed street robberies, including the gang leader Asad and his accomplice Shakir. The suspects, both with criminal records, were involved in multiple cases of theft, robbery, and snatching. Police seized two 30-bore pistols, dozens of bullets, and cash from them.In anti-narcotics operations, Southern Cantt and Factory Area Police arrested two drug dealers, Shahid and Shehbaz, and recovered over 1.5 kg of hashish and 50 liters of toxic homemade liquor.Meanwhile, Dolphin Squad, during routine patrolling, arrested two drug peddlers, Saeed and Rohit, from Shalimar Link Road. The suspects were found in possession of 20 liters of locally brewed liquor.
