Lahore Police intensify crackdown, arresting 1,003 criminals for public safety

Lahore: As per an official handout from DIG Operations Lahore, DIG Operations Muhammad Faisal Kamran stated that ensuring criminals are behind bars is essential for a safe society. Without the arrest of wanted criminals, the elimination of serious crimes is impossible. He emphasized that keeping criminals in prison reduces crime and makes Lahore safer. The Lahore Police Operations Wing continues its relentless crackdown on wanted criminals and fugitives.Providing details, DIG Operations said that a province-wide crackdown is was carried out against recorded criminals, fugitives, and wanted individuals to maintain law and order in Lahore. So far this month, a total of 1,003 notorious and habitual criminals, including judicial fugitives, have been arrested.During various operations, police have apprehended:143 recorded criminals involved in serious crimes, 518 wanted suspectsand 342 judicial fugitives.

Additionally, 26 fugitives were arrested in raids conducted in other districts. DIG Operations reiterated that Lahore Police follows a zero-tolerance policy against elements disturbing public order. He further stated that special teams at the police station level have been activated for the arrest of criminals and fugitives.He also urged the public to support community policing by remaining vigilant in their surroundings and reporting criminal and wanted individuals to help the police maintain security.
