LHC calls report on provision of medicines, clothes other basic facilities to Noreen Niazi and Uzma Khan

Lahore: Lahore High Court (LHC) has sought report on provision of medicines , clothes and other basic facilities to Noreen Niazi and Uzma Khan in jail.The petition against the detention of Aleema Khan, Uzma Khan and Noreen Niazi sisters of PTI founder came up for hearing in LHC.Justice Abher Gul took up for hearing petition filed by Shahzair Khan son of Aleema Khan.Rana Mudassar advocate appeared on behalf of the petitioner.Justice Abher Gul remarked clothes were given to you and medicines too were given to you. But you said when you went outside that nothing was given.Rana Mudassar, counsel for the petitioner told the court " I said these were provided under the order of court. We have filed miscellaneous petitions for providing clothes, medicines and other basic necessities to Noreen Niazi and Uzma. Order be issued for providing clothes and books and other essential things.Justice Abher Gul inquired give in writing what things are required .The counsel said 19 days have passed but medicines a nd clothes have not been provided.The court remarked give us in writing what things are needed by you. Only that thing will go inside jail what we order.The counsel Rana Mudassar prayed that order be issued for providing medicines, clothes, books and food items.Justice Abher Gul remarked we can not allow food items. We call the report on your miscellaneous petitions.The counsel Rana Mudassar requested that the main petition which is related to detention be also heard. `The court remarked let us provide clothes and medicines first then this will also be heard.Court observed that it would take up the main petition after the medicines and clothes had been delivered.If you have to give arguments on main petition then leave aside these miscellaneous petitions. You should think what you have to do.The court adjourned the proceedings on the petitions against detention of Aleema Khan, Uzma Khan and Noreen Niazi till October 12.
