Lahore: Lahore High Court (LHC) while expressing concern over police proceedings on arresting the detained person in another case despite issuance of notice by the court has ordered DIG operations Lahore to hold inquiry in person into all circumstances which led to arrest.

Justice Sardar Akbar Ali Dogar issued written interim order on the petition of citizen Behroz Khan directing DIG Operations Lahore to review himself the situation and circumstances leading to alleged arrest of detained Amir Khan.

The court has ordered DIG operations to file comprehensive and attested report regarding arrest on September 30.

The court has directed to include causes of arrest of Amir Khan. time . procedure and complete details of situation and circumstances that led to arrest.

The court maintained in the written order the detained person was arrested in another case soon after court's notice. While report presented by police has damaged confidence of the court.

Court said the sequence of incidents prima facie gives rise to this impression that deliberate attempt was made to stop or fail court's proceedings.

The court further maintained that time and procedure of arrest of detained person generate grave questions. If the attitude of police is proved then it will be tantamount to grave misuse of the powers.

According to police report the detained Amir Khan was sent to judicial lock up for identification parade.

The court while declaring report presented by SHO Gujjar Pura incredible remarked the scrutiny of all the situation at high level leading to arrest is essential.

The court directed law officer the strict implementation of court's orders be ensured and complete report be presented before it on next hearing.

The court has fixed the further hearing of the case on September 30.
