LHC extends its order for stopping operation in Zaman park for one day

LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) has extended its orders for stopping operation in Zaman Park for one day. The court has stopped PTI from holding public meeting in Lahore on Sunday.

The judge remarked if public meeting is held then I will issue orders. Sit with IG Punjab and chief secretary and evolve a mechanism. You people should let the system run.

The court extended its orders for stopping operation in Zaman Park till Friday.

The court remarked PSL matches are being held. We have also come to know that PTI is going to hold public meeting in Minar-e-Pakistan on Sunday. PTI should not hold public meeting on Sunday. Even then if public meeting is held then I will issue order.

IG Punjab and other officials were present in the court during the hearing of the case.

The court remarked the nation has been extremely disrespected since a few months. The solution lies in the law. Solution should be found according to it.

During the course of hearing PTI lawyers requested the court to keep this petition under hearing till the decision of trial court of Islamabad.

LHC while stopping PTI from holding public meeting in Lahore on Sunday remarked if public meeting has to be held then plan be evolved 15 days before. You people should sit with IG Punjab and chief secretary and work out mechanism. You all should together find solution to this matter. But let the system run.

Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh remarked what is happening is only due to it that no one reads the law. Only they talk. Solution to every thing lies in law and constitution. The respondents have jammed the entire system.

The court while addressing to counsel for Fawad Chaudhry remarked some time you come to this court and some time you go to Islamabad High Court.

Azhar Siddique said this has become a political issue.

The court remarked you both parties have made it. Therefore, there is need to implement law.

The court inquired what is issue of security.

Fawad Chaudhry said security issue is very serious. Imran Khan has appeared in four courts of Islamabad and he has not appeared in 5th court. There was 100 percent confirmed information about attack on him in F-8 court.

The court remarked there is a law in place in our system to obtain security. There is a proper procedure laid out therein.

Advocate General (AG) Punjab Shan Gul told the court when Imran Khan appeared in LHC then security was provided to him.

Justice Tariq Salim Sheikh remarked “ I have not touched warrant issue. LHC and IHC have not stopped implementation of warrants.
