Lahore: Lahore High Court (LHC) has given time to IG Punjab in recovery case of a woman said to have been kidnapped by jinns 6 years back.
Chief Justice (CJ) of LHC Aalia Neelum remakred during the hearing of the case on Thursday " where the matter of woman comes why does not it remain important. Can police not work earlier. The stance taken by family is very strange that woman has been taken away by jinns.
The CJ IHC remarked investigation should start from home in such case. The report presented by CCPO was written while sitting in police station. Why did the investigation officer not initiate proceedings earlier. Court is seeing time is not mentioned in any proceedings of investigation. Why should not contempt of court proceedings be initiated on violation of law. If there is no such record of the woman then how did she go missing. Did they give any advertisement in news paper. If it was run on cable then cable is not available in every home.
IG Punjab Dr Anwar Usman appeared in the court and said no media advertisement was given. Team has been established for recovery of abducted lady. We are checking Darul Aman, Hospitals and mazars. Help will be taken from DNA and safe city cameras. Police have carved out app in the name of Mera Piyara Name. Efforts are being both under traditional and modern methods for recovery of kidnapped woman.
CCPO Lahore Muhammad Siddiqye Kamyana also appeared.
The petitioner has registered the case of kidnapped woman in police station Kahna. The case was registered against mother in law and husband of the abducted lady.
