LHC moved for initiating contempt of court proceedings against Imran Khan

LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) has been moved for initiating contempt of court proceedings against PTI chairman Imran Khan.

The petition has been filed by advocate Nadim Sarwar against former Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan in LHC making Imran Khan respondent.

The petitioner has taken plea in the petition that organized campaign is being launched against judiciary under Imran Khan. Campaign was run against the judges for nullifying the deputy speaker ruling by these judges

It was further said in the petition that Imran Khan appeared in Islamabad High Court and LHC along with organized bands.

Damaging government buildings and appearing in the court while chanting slogans is contempt of court.

It has been claimed in the petition judicial complex Islamabad was attacked under a plan and Imran Khan was its mastermind. He called workers to judicial complex to pressurize the judiciary.

The petitioner requested the court to LHC should initiate contempt of court proceedings against Imran Khan and summon him in the court.
