LHC rejects petition against amendment in law for appointment of serving military officer as chairman NADRA

Lahore: Lahore High Court (LHC) has rejected the petition against amendment in law for appointment of serving military officer as chairman NADRA declaring it non-maintainable.Justice Faisal Zaman of LHC took up the petition for hearing Thursday.The petitioner Ishba Kamran while giving arguments before the court took the plea that the care taker government made amendment in section 7 by misusing its powers. Care taker government had no legal or constitutional right to amend section 7.The petitioner requested the court to nullify the amendment made in section 7.The court remarked single bench announced the decision already on section 7. Court has already given such big relief. Why this application has been filed now.The petitioner said section 7 was not challenged in that application.The court remarked the court has given its opinion on section 7 in para -24 of its decision. Now this matter is pending hearing before two members bench. The court will decide about it in appeal.The court rejecte d the plea declaring it non maintainable.
