Lahore: Lahore High Court (LHC) has sought report from Pakistan Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) on the petitions in regard to smog eradication.Justice Shahid Karim took up for hearing petition filed by citizen Haroon Farooq and others with reference to elimination of smog.The court summoned report from PDMA on next hearing.The court remarked water crisis like situation prevails in Cholistan. Government should impose water emergency. Giving advertisements in news papers only benefit Newspapers walas. Need is there to take adequate steps with reference to water wastage.Member Judicial Council (JC) said I have come out of court. Hydrates were boiling on university road. PHA is not maintaining water. There is need to work out timetable with reference to tubewells in cities. Water violation is enormous in PHA.The mogas through which canal water is supplied to Race Course are closed.The court remarked crack down is must on the wastage of water. Give final notification to major housing societies with reference to water. The society where a vehicle is seen being washed with water pipe be sealed. If PHA has to face difficulties then come to me. Lahore water level was lowering down fast. We have got stopped its level with efforts. Let this hard work not to go waste. Weather is changing after a long period. Water recycle plants be installed in buildings. Buildings will need small recycle plant to be installed so that water could be reused.Protecting water from wasting is must for ourselves as well as our future generation.
