Islamabad: A major curtailment in prices of petroleum products is likely from August 01.

Price of petrol is likely to be slashed by Rs 9.07 per liter and diesel by Rs 3.73 per liter for next 15 days from August 01. The decrease in prices of petroleum products is stated to be outcome of fluctuation in price of petroleum products in international market.

Adjustment of rupee value as compared to dollar is also being stated another major reason. It is impacting prices of petroleum products as well. As per industrial sources the price of petrol will be decreased from Rs 272.16 per liter to Rs 263.08 per liter and price of diesel will go down from Rs 283.35 per liter to Rs 280.62 per liter.

However price of kerosene oil will increase from Rs 181.33 per liter to Rs 184.88 per liter and price of light diesel will be raised from Rs 167.76 per liter to Rs 170.09 per liter.
