Lahore: Markazi Kisan Tehreek (MKT) has announced the launch of a protest campaign against the government's delay in announcing the support price for wheat. Rallies, protests, and programs will be organized across the country. President MKT Ashfaq Virk stated that the delay in setting the support price for wheat has caused severe hardships for farmers.

He said that the price of wheat has been reduced, but the prices of fertilizers, seeds, and medicines remain exceedingly high, which has led to an extraordinary increase in farmers' expenses." He urged

the government to reduce the prices of fertilizers, seeds, and medicines to provide comprehensive

relief to farmers. He also called for an immediate announcement of the wheat support price to

alleviate the difficulties faced by farmers.

Markazi Kisan Tehreek has declared that various protest rallies and programs will be held across the

country to raise farmers' voices and exert pressure on the government to safeguard farmers' rights. A

large number of farmers are expected to participate in these events.
