Lahore: Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Maryam Nawaz has accorded approval to set up stroke management centre in every district in Punjab.

It has been decided in principle to appoint neurologist and peeds neurologist in every District Headquarters Hospital.

The CM Punjab directed a 3-month stroke management training be given to one doctor and one nurse in every district forthwith.

She also ordered to launch telemedicine project for stroke patients immediately.

Doctors at district hospitals will be able to make telephonic contact with specialist and consultant immediately in connection with treatment of paralysis.

A public awareness campaign be launched for treatment of paralysis.

The importance of golden hours is established fact for treatment of paralysis. I will lead the awareness campaign.

Stroke management centers will be established in every children hospital of Punjab .
