Islamabad: The matter of appointment of opposition leader in National Assembly (NA) has entered into final phase.

As per sources legislation department of NA has given full briefing to NA speaker Ayyaz Sadiq in this regard.

Sources said senior officers of NA informed the speaker about the application filed by PTI, the court cases related to this application and other matters.

It was told in the briefing detailed review of the application has been made as per law and legal and constitutional requirements.

As per sources the signatures of members filed for opposition leader have also been fully scrutinized so that the legal and constitutional requirements could be completed.

The matter is now ready for speaker after reviewing its all aspects.

Formal announcement by speaker NA for appointment of opposition leader of NA is likely tomorrow in NA. Later the matter of leadership of opposition in the house will become clear.
