Islamabad: Sher Afzal Marwat MNA has claimed the matters were settled between government, establishment and PTI founder Imran Khan on November 25 last year to release Imran Khan .
Talking in a private TV show he said talks between government and PTI had started on November 3. A 4-member committee was constituted in this regard. The committee comprised Ali Amin Gandapur, Barrister Gohar, Mohsin Naqvi and Rana Sana Ullah. Later he too joined the committee on one occasion.
According to Sher Afzal Marwat, PTI and establishment had agreed over certain things including release of Imran Khan.
Mohsin Naqvi provided his plane to barrister Gohar and Barrister Saif so that they could hold meetings for further explanations . Barrister Gohar was sent to Adiala jail on November 25 night where Imran Khan was to get record video.
Under this agreement, Imran Khan was to be released on next morning.
He said state had no designs till the occurrence of Rangers incident. It was utmost endeavor of state and government that no clash takes place and for this reason they had agreed to go for compromise.
Barrister Gohar said to Imran Khan he should make this video and give it to him so that we could play this video before the people who are coming from KP and people don't cross Sangjani and they have to stay at Sangjani unless Imran Khan comes out of jail.
Sher Afzal Marwat said Imran Khan said to barrister Gohar to give his mobile to him. As the jail authorities take the mobile therefore , he said he is not having mobile. One jail person came forward to give his mobile but Imran Khan said no, he has doubt on him These people will tamper it.
He continued that it was also discussed the video should be made on that side of jail bars. Then it was settled that Barrister Gohar will come on next morning and bring his mobile. But Rangers incident took place overnight and Barrister Gohar who was to come on next morning could not come.
Had Rangers personnel incident not taken place then not only Imran Khan would have been out of jail but also many matters would have been settled.
