Lahore: Speaker Punjab Assembly (PA) Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan has said statement by Maulana Fazlur Rehman is beyond comprehension.

He said this while addressing a seminar here on army role in eradicaton of terrorism under Mir Khalil ur Rehman Society.

He held he had too cast vote for getting Musharraf accepted as president in uniform in the past.

The political role of army was acceptable to PTI founder at the time when he was getting government due to it. He too used NAB mercilessly during his tenure.

He said Maulana Fazlur Rehman is highly respectable for him.

The political role of army is being criticized too much, But army has rendered unprecedented sacrifices in war on terror.

National unity and recognition of sacrifices rendered by state institutions against terrorism is need of hour.
