Karachi: Alkhidmat will host Pakistan's largest IT Graduation Convocation today (Sunday) at the UBL Sports Complex, where more than 10,000 graduates of the Bano Qabil Program will be awarded certificates upon successfully completing their IT courses. All preparations for the landmark convocation have been finalized, with hundreds of Alkhidmat volunteers deployed to manage the event.Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, will attend as Chief Guest. In addition to Bano Qabil graduates, Alkhidmat has invited leading business leaders, industrialists, employers, and distinguished personalities from various sectors. The convocation will also feature participation by prominent IT companies, while outstanding projects developed by Bano Qabil students will be showcased to highlight their technical skills and innovation.Executive Director Alkhidmat Karachi Rashid Qureshi visited the UBL Sports Complex to review the final preparations for the convocation. He inspected the event arrangements, met with volunteers assigned to various responsibilities, encouraged them, and commended their commitment and hard work, expressing confidence that their collective efforts would ensure the successful execution of Pakistan's largest IT Graduation Convocation.Ahead of the event, CEO Alkhidmat Karachi Naveed Ali Baig visited a project selection camp at Idara Noor-e-Haq, where shortlisted student projects were being evaluated for display at the convocation. During the visit, he interacted with students, learned about their projects, and appreciated their creativity, dedication, and hard work.Speaking on the occasion, Naveed Ali Baig said that the Bano Qabil IT Graduation Convocation is the largest event of its kind ever held in Pakistan, bringing together more than 10,000 graduates. He said the ceremony will not only recognize students with certificates but will also provide them with a platform to present innovative projects developed through their commitment and learning. He added that leading IT companies will est ablish recruitment booths at the venue, enabling graduates to connect directly with potential employers and explore career opportunities in the technology sector.Naveed Ali Baig further noted that Alkhidmat has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Alibaba, and that registration facilities and information regarding the collaboration will also be available at the event, creating valuable networking and business opportunities for participants. Describing the convocation as the largest IT graduation event in the country's history, he said Alkhidmat is leading a technological transformation by equipping Pakistan's youth with market-driven digital skills.
