Nowshera: As many as 4 persons including Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Sami (JUI-S) leader Maulana Hamidul Haq have been martyred in a suicide attack inside Darul Uloom Haqqania in Akora Khattak area of Nowshera during Friday prayers.According to Rescure 1122 as many as four ambulances along with medical teams and fire teams rushed to the scene on information. 20 persons were pulled out and shifted to hospital through ambulances.According to IG Police KP 4 persons were martyred in suicide attack and Maulana Hamidul Haq was among them.Investigation into suicide attack has been started.According to the police, the suicide bomber blew himself during the prayers. Maulana Hamid, the son of Maulana Samiul Haq, suffered injuries and died on way to hospital.As soon as the incident was reported, Rescue and police teams reached the scene and moved the injured to hospital.Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General Zulfiqar Hamid told media that Maulana Hamid was the target of the attacker. According to early investigation , it was a suicide attack, he added.The IG said 25 personnel were deployed for security of the seminary. Further investigation are going on.A senior police officer said Maulana Hamid was target in suicide attack.Central police office confirmed in a statement that Akora Khattak blast was suicide blast. Maulana Hamid was critically injured in it and later he succumbed to injuries. Attacker entered into mosque through gate.Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the blast and sought a report regarding the incident. He condoled the assassination of Maulana Hamid and death of other namazis and prayed for swift recovery of the injured.He stated that cowardly and despicable acts of terrorism cannot undermine our resolve in the fight against terrorism. 'We are committed to the complete eradication of all forms of terrorism from the country.'Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also strongly condemned the blast and prayed for the quick recovery of the injured worshipers.
