Islamabad: The spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior clarified that Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi did not state that USD 100 billion had gone out of Pakistan.

The spokesperson said that the figure being circulated in media reports was based on estimates or discussions of past economic data, and not presented by the minister as an official claim. He added that certain TV channels were airing statements out of context, which does not reflect the facts.

The ministry urged media outlets to ensure accuracy and context while reporting public statements to avoid misinformation.
