Karachi: Sindh High Court (SHC) has ordered the respective authorities to recover 2 girls who have gone missing from Clifton and present them in the court besides seeking reply from the respective authorities till July 8.
The court issued these orders on the constitutional petitions regarding alleged disappearance of two girls from Clifton.
During the hearing of the case Bushra Abbas counsel for the petitioner took the plea that two daughters of the petitioner including Beebo 14 and Aleena 6 are missing since May last year. Both of the girls had gone to Clifton to sell flowers but did not return to home.
The counsel told the court the difference sources revealed the girls were allegedly kidnapped by one Qurban.
Effective steps were not taken for recovery of these girls despite the fact the respective institutions were approached repeatedly.
The counsel for the petitioner took further plea that the nominated accused is being allegedly patronized by DIG RRF and SSP Jacobabad. Therefore, the local police is hesitating to take action against the accused.
The counsel prayed the court to get investigate these charges in transparent manner besides constituting special investigation team for recovery of girls.
Sindh Child Protection Authority, Women and Child Protection Cell and nominated accused have been made respondents in the petition.
The court has sought reply from all the respondents till July 8.
