Beijing: Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi visited the Beijing Public Security Passport Bureau. Director General Sun Yu welcomed the Minister upon his arrival. The Interior Minister observed various sections of the Exit-Entry Administration Bureau and reviewed China's passport making and immigration system.
Mohsin Naqvi was given a detailed briefing on immigration policies and the complete stages of passport processing-from application to printing. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi was also briefed about foreign nationals arriving in China, their stay, and departure procedures.
The Interior Minister was informed about the fast-track passport and immigration process provided through the 'One Window' facility. He appreciated the efficient operations of the Exit-Entry Administration Bureau.
The Interior Minister stated that the usefulness, effectiveness, and speed of China's entry-exit system are commendable. Pakistan has also developed a fast and foolproof passport and immigration system. New security features will be introduced in passports to prevent forgery.
Pakistan's modern entry-exit control system is also being developed along the lines of the Beijing model. He was informed that once an online application is submitted, a passport is delivered to citizens within 24 hours. The bureau remains open 24/7 for public convenience.
A multilingual guidance system has made complex documentation processes easy and transparent for foreign citizens. Through digital tracking and real-time updates, applicants remain informed about the progress of their cases.
Federal Secretary Interior Khurram Agha, DG National Police Academy Muhammad Idrees, DG National Cyber Crimes Investigation Agency Syed Khurram Ali, IG Islamabad Police Ali Nasir Rizvi, and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa were also present on the occasion.
Meanwhile Mohsin Naqvi visited the Beijing Police College. The Interior Minister inspected various high-tech training sections of the Beijing Police College. He watched an impressive demonstration by the police on how suspects are apprehended using vehicles.
Mohsin Naqvi appreciated the professional skills and excellent training standards of the Beijing Police. He applauded the special vehicle squad for their outstanding performance.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that he was highly impressed by the professional capabilities and top-class training of the vehicle squad.
Interior Minister announced that all ASPs of the National Police Academy will undergo a one-month training program at the Beijing Police College. Cooperation between the National Police Academy and the Beijing Police College will be enhanced. Pakistani police officers will also be equipped with modern professional education and training.
In this regard, an agreement will be signed between the National Police Academy and the Beijing Police College.
The Interior Minister also operated the advanced driving simulator machine. The President of the Beijing Police College briefed Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on high-tech training through simulators and other tools.
Mohsin Naqvi was given a briefing on the use of modern technology to deal with protests, violent incidents, and other forms of crime.
President of Beijing Police College Wu Wei briefed the minister about technology-based education and practical training, informing that the college provides academic education, professional training, and AI-based instruction. The institution comprises 12 faculties with more than 400 faculty members, 50% of whom are PhD holders.
