Lahore: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Emir Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman at Mansoorah. ½Mohsin Naqvi offered his condolences to Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman over the demise of JI Pakistan Secretary General Ameerul Azeem. He prayed for the elevation of the deceased’s ranks in the hereafter and expressed sympathies with the bereaved family as well as the party’s leadership and workers, praying for their strength and patience.
Acting Secretary General of JI Pakistan Nazir Ahmed Janjua and Secretary Information Shakil Ahmed Turabi were also present during the meeting.
The two leaders also discussed the country’s overall political and economic situation, regional developments and issues concerning public welfare.
During the meeting, the interior minister said that tensions in the region had once again eased due to the continuous efforts of Field Marshal General Asim Munir.
