Mohsin Naqvi organizes special ceremony to honor CDA sanitary workers for outstanding cleanliness efforts on Eid-ul-Adha

Islamabad: On the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi organized a special ceremony in honor of the Capital Development Authority's (CDA) sanitary workers, acknowledging their exemplary performance and exceptional cleanliness operations in Islamabad.Appreciating their round-the-clock efforts, the Interior Minister paid tribute to the sanitary workers and congratulated CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, the Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioners, and field teams.Interior Minister announced a special reward of one basic salary for all employees who participated in the Zero Waste Operation, while daily wage workers will receive Rs. 15,000 each as a bonus.Mohsin Naqvi highlighted that within three days, a total of 2,400 tons of animal waste and offal were collected from both urban and rural areas of Islamabad. The cleanliness operations were monitored through drone cameras. A total of 2,500 workers and 250 vehicles took part in the Zero Waste Operation.Mohsin Naqvi said that citizens of Islamabad expressed immense satisfaction with the cleanliness drive, which is a clear acknowledgment of CDA's performance. He also extended gratitude to the citizens of Islamabad for fully cooperating with field teams during Eid.Interior Minister emphasized that from officers to workers, everyone delivered as one cohesive team. CDA, Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI), District Administration, Islamabad Police, Safe City Project, and Traffic Police worked tirelessly in close coordination. All departments operated in harmony, prioritizing public service above institutional boundaries.The Interior Minister also commended the Safe City team for effective monitoring and stressed the importance of maintaining Islamabad as a clean and green city. 'We all must work together to transform Islamabad into a world-class city,' he added.CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa also addressed the ceremony and thanked the field teams for their dedication. The event was attended by Federal Secretary Int erior Khurram Agha, Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa, IG Islamabad Police Ali Nasir Rizvi, DC Islamabad Irfan Memon, DG Safe City, and other relevant officers.
