Rawalpindi: Civil Judge Judicial Magistrate Rawalpindi Qamar Abbas Tarar has handed over 6 prime accused including head of jirga to custody of Pir Wadhai police on four days physical remand being nominated in case pertaining to murder of newly wedded girl in the name of honor under the alleged decision of jirga in the area of Pirwadhai police.

The court ordered the accused be presented before it on August 4 again besides informing it about progress in investigation.

Sub inspector Shabbir Hussain presented in the court 6 accused including head of jirga Asmat Ullah Khan, father of victim girl Arab Gul, brother Zafar Ullah Khan, husband Zia ur Rehman, father in law Saleh Muhammad Khan. uncle father in law Ammani Gull under stringent security arrangements.

The police while praying the court to grant 7-day physical remand of the accused persons took the plea the accused are nominated in Sidra murder case. Among them Salim Gull, Mani Gull and Arab Gull were arrested on Sunday night. The other three accused have been arrested on Monday.

The pillow used in murder of girl has to be recovered from them and investigations into other aspects of case has to be carried out. Therefore, 7 days physical remand in respect of the accused be granted.

However court while granting 4 days physical remand handed over the accused to police custody.

It may be mentioned Pir Waadhai police had registered case on July 21 under the report of Zia ur Rehman husband of the victim girl.
