Islamabad: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has forwarded the name of Mr. Saroop Ijaz for appointment as a member of the Judicial Commission.

The nomination has been made under Clause 2 of Article 175-A of the Constitution. The recommendation was sought by the Supreme Court for filling the vacant position in the Judicial Commission.

According to the National Assembly Secretariat, a formal response containing the Speaker's recommendation has been dispatched to the Secretary of the Judicial Commission.
