Islamabad: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has ordered to carry out ruthless crackdown and adopt zero tolerance policy against the mafia involved in illegal immigration.

He presided over a high level meeting in FIA headquarters. Decision was taken to reorganize FIA on modern lines. He sought comprehensive plan in this regard.

He directed work be started immediately in regard to necessary amendments in rules and regulations to re-activate the institution. He accorded approval for immediate state of the art technology and desired weapons

He said FIA will have to come upto the expectations of people besides government. More facilities will be given to FIA on the basis of performance.

He directed FIA to make appointments on vacant posts immediately due to shortage of staff and establish fast track counters.

While summoning master plan for restoration of FIA headquarters building he said FIA academy be shifted to newly allotted land .
