Islamabad: The Senate and National Assembly are scheduled to meet today at Parliament House, while the federal budget for the fiscal year 2026-27 is likely to be presented on June 12.

President Asif Ali Zardari, on the advice of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, has summoned sessions of both houses of Parliament. The National Assembly session will commence at 5:00 pm, while the Senate session is scheduled for 4:00 pm.

Meanwhile, Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhry stated on social media that the federal budget is expected to be presented in the National Assembly on Friday, June 12.

Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb is expected to present the federal budget for the fiscal year 2026-27 before the National Assembly.
